The death has occurred of Mary (Mai) McCahey, Lis na Dara, and Grange Drive, Muirhevnamor, Dundalk, Co. Louth and formerly of Lisnaclea, Magheracloone, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, peacefully in the tender loving care of the staff at St. Oliver Plunkett Community Unit, Friday 17th October 2025. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Catherine, siblings Paddy, Jim, Margaret and Tommy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sister-in-law Susan, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Deery’s Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 C653 on Sunday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Monday morning from Deery’s Funeral Home, Carrickmacross to St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church, Lower Magheracloone, A81 HX68, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
