Mary Kate Carolan
(née Molloy)
Dooniver, Achill Island and formerly of Bebington, Wirral, UK – passed away on 20th August 2025 aged 95. Pre-deceased by her parents Tom and Mary Molloy (nee O’ Malley), by her brothers John and Manus, her sisters Annie, Bridgie and Nora, her husband James Carolan (Bebington, Wirral, UK), her nieces, Eileen and Kathleen and her nephews, John, Joseph, Kevin, Christie and Maurice. Mary will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughter Carol, son Michael, daughter-in-law Annemarie, grandchildren Connor, Zachary and Saskia, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Sweeney’s Funeral Home, Achill Sound, Co Mayo, F28 HN81 on Tuesday, 16th September from 5pm until 6:30pm followed by prayers at St Joseph’s Church, Bunnacurry at 7pm. Funeral Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Bunnacurry, Achill Island on Wednesday, 17th September at 11:00am followed by burial at Bunnacurry Cemetery. Family flowers only please. In lieu of flowers, donations, if desired, may be made to St. Colman’s Care Centre, Keel c/o Sweeney’s Funeral Directors.
