Peacefully, after a short illness. In the wonderful care of the staff of Ardeen Nursing Home, Thurles and Tipperary University Hospital. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary, sisters Kitty, Maura, Bridget, Josephine, Margaret, Helen, Norah and Mary, brothers Sean, William, Jerry, Paddy and Timothy. Deeply regretted by his loving family; sisters Philomena (Meelam), Annie (Purcell) and Teresa (Ryan), nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, Ardeen community, former colleagues in The Irish Army (Óglaigh na hÉireann), neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Hugh Ryan's Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Friday 6th June from 5pm to 7pm. Arriving at the Cathedral of the Assumption, Thurles at 7.45pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday 7th June at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Thurles.
