Martin (Marty) Whelan Snr.

With heavy hearts we share the passing of Martin (Marty) Whelan Snr. of Newtown Road, Maynooth, Co. Kildare and late of Lucan, Co. Dublin. Martin passed peacefully on Friday, September 12th 2025, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown. Beloved husband of Eva, dad to Thomas, Gerard, Marty and Michelle. Sadly missed by his loving wife, children, daughters-in-law, granchildren Laura, Adam, Eoin and Dylan, brother Joe, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Oliver Reilly's Funeral Home, Leinster St., Maynooth, (W23V99E) on Monday from 4pm - 7pm, with evening prayers at 6:30pm. Removal from his residence by Oliver Reilly Funeral Directors on Wednesday at approx. 10:30am to arrive at St. Mary's Church, Maynooth for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Laraghbryan Cemetery, Maynooth.
