Martin died on October 28th 2025, unexpectedly but peacefully with his family, in the loving care of the staff of the Allen Ward at Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore. He was a native of Newport, Co. Mayo and was predeceased by his beloved parents Sheila and Tommy and sister Máire.

Martin will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife, Carmel and family, Niamh, David and Eoin, grandchildren, Fionn and Felim, brother Tómas, sisters Valerie and Eileen, daughters-in-law, Rose and Vicky, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Grant Martin Eternal Rest and Peace

Martin will repose at Grennan's Funeral Home, Ferbane (R42 HW25) on Friday evening (Oct. 31st) from 5pm to 7pm.

(Additional parking available in the adjoining Church grounds)

Martin's Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday (Nov. 1st) in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ferbane at 11am, and may be viewed on http://www.ferbaneparish.ie, and he will be laid to rest afterwards in High Street Cemetery.
