Margaret Cunniffe

The death has occurred of Margaret Cunniffe (née Lally), Attymany, Gurteen, Ballinasloe, County Galway and formerly of Raheens, Mountbellew.

Margaret passed away peacefully on November 3rd 2025 at her home, in her 96th year surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Nora and John, her beloved husband Owen, sisters Mary and Nora, brothers Thomas, Luke, Michael, John and Packie.

Margaret will be sadly missed by her family, Martin (Carrick-on-Shannon), Bernie, Breda Fahy (Cartymore), Gerard and Odie, daughters in-law Dolores, Kathleen and Ann, son in-law Christy Fahy, adored grandchildren Clement, Martina, Miream, David, Caroline, Valerie, Edel, Enda, Éanna and Muireann, her twenty-two great-grandchildren, sister Vera, sisters in-law, extended family members, relatives of the Cunniffe and Lally families, neighbours and friends.

Margaret will repose at Quinn's Funeral Home, Athenry on Thursday, 6th November 2025 from 6pm. Removal at 8pm to St.Michael's Church, Gurteen. Funeral Mass on Friday 7th at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Cloonkeenkerrill Cemetery. Mass can be viewed online at www.ballymacwardgurteenparish.com.
