Mai Keegan

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Mai Keegan (née Doyle), Dromahair, Co. Leitrim and formerly Collooney, Co. Sligo and Dalkey, Co. Dublin, peacefully, in her 89th year, surrounded by her family, in the wonderful care of St. Phelim’s Nursing Home, Dromahair, May 16th, 2025.

Predeceased by her husband Seamus (Jim) and sister Laura Murphy.

Forever loved by her three daughters, Muriel, Orla and Dervilla, sons-in-law Ivan and Jamie, grandchildren Róisín and Siún, brothers Colman and Brian Doyle, cousin Larry Connolly, sister-in-law Lizzie O’ Connor, all her nephews and nieces especially Ken Murphy and all her good neighbours and friends in Dromahair, Collooney and Dalkey.

We remember all those who went before her, in particular Seamus’s sisters and brothers (Mary, John, Bid, Kit, Nellie, Denis) in the Keegan family, her own Mum and Dad and family.

 

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

 

Mai will repose in her home 2 Larkfield Lawns, Dromahair, Co. Leitrim (F91 E5W0) on Sunday 18th May from 4pm to 7pm. Removal from her home to St. Patrick’s Church, Dromahair on Monday 19th May for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the New Cemetery, Creevelea, Dromahair.
