Liam DOWNEY

Liam Downey, Church Street, Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick, passed away peacefully, in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff at Killeline Care Centre, Newcastle West, Co. Limerick, on Monday, 3rd November 2025.

Predeceased by his parents Timothy and Mary, brothers Noel, Seán and Michael, sister-in-law Mary and nephew Noel.

Liam is very sadly missed by his loving daughters Geraldine (Mahon), Jacqueline (O’ Donoghue), son Thomas and their mother Margaret Relihan, Geraldine’s partner Brian, adored grandchildren John and Robert Mahon, (their wives Eimear and Angela) Mark O’ Donoghue, Jack and Sean Downey, great-grandchildren Margot, Celine, Frankie J. and Sierra, sister Ann Hennessey, brother-in-law Kevin, nephews, nieces, all his other relatives and a large circle of friends.

Requiem Mass for Liam will be celebrated in The Church of The Assumption, Abbeyfeale on Wednesday, 5th November at 11.00 a.m.

Interment afterwards in Reilig Íde Naofa, Abbeyfeale.
