Kathleen (Kathy) McCabe

Formerly of Virginia, Co. Cavan

In the early hours of Tuesday, 10 June 2025, Kathy died very peacefully in the wonderful care of her friends and the staff of St. Teresa’s Ward, University Hospital, Galway.

Beloved daughter of the late Dymphna and Peter and sister of the late Pat, Bernadette (Detta) and Marie and aunt of the late Danny. May they be reunited in God’s love.

Deeply mourned by her sister Teresa (San Francisco), nieces and nephews, relatives, many good friends and lovely neighbours.

 

O Holy St. Anthony gentlest of Saints,

Whisper our petition for Kathy

to be in the arms of

the sweet Infant Jesus,

And the gratitude of our hearts will ever be yours.

Kathy will Repose at ‘Aras Naofa’ within the grounds of the Church of St. Oliver Plunkett, Renmore from 5.30 p.m. with Removal at 6.30 p.m. to the adjacent Church. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday in the Abbey.

 

Thursday, 12 June 2025

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Kathy at the Franciscan Abbey Church, Francis Street, on arrival at 2.30 p.m. and following Mass she will be laid to rest in Rinville cemetery. Live streaming link for Mass https://funeralslive.ie/kathleen-mccabe/
