The death has occurred peacefully of Joseph (Joe) Stapleton, “Shangar” Barefield, Ennis Co. Clare, formerly of Coillte, in the care of the staff of the Galway Clinic on 20th April 2025.
Predeceased by his wife Bridget, deeply missed by his sons Gerard, Noel, Padraig and Niall, daughters-in-law Karen, Ann and Marie, grandchildren Evan, Eanna, Sadhbh, Aoife, Ciara and Eoin, sisters-in-law Teresa Goonan and Margaret Minogue, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends.

Reposing at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Barefield (V95 XA72) on Tuesday (22nd April) from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday (23rd April) at 11am with burial afterwards in Templemaley Cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed through the Doora Barefield Parish webcam.
