John (Sean) Reilly

John died peacefully surrounded by his family and friends in Mullingar Regional Hospital on August 21st 2025. Predeceased by his parents Phil and Sarah and his sister Margaret. John will be forever missed and remembered with love by his wife and best friend Philomena (née McGovern),sisters-in-law Anne Lomasney and Kathleen Ward, brothers-in-law Laurence McGovern (USA), Eammon Connolly, Bill Lomasney and Kevin Maguire, nieces, nephews and cousins. John will be dearly missed by his neighbours and life long friends.

May the roads rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

May the rains fall soft upon the fields,

And until we meet again John,

May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church St, L.ongford N39 KN66 on Friday 22nd from 5.00pm until 7.00pm, with removal to arrive to St. Mary's Church, Ennybegs N39 AH01 for prayers at 8.00pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday 23rd at 11.00am. Following Mass, John will be laid to rest in the family plot in Aughaboy Cemetery. Mass can be viewed live, click on the link below.
