John (Hugo) Strain

Strain, John (Hugo) – 15th July 2025 (Artane and formerly of Kilmacrennan, Donegal), has passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family, in the care of St Francis Hospice, Raheny. Predeceased by his sister Iris.

John will be very sadly missed by his beloved wife Nancy, children John and Sinead, grandchildren Dylan and Hannah, daughter-in-law Gill, Sinead’s partner Gordon, beloved Sherlock family, the Strain and McCafferty families, Quinlan's, McGreal’s, Mahon’s and Wood families, nephews, nieces, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing in his residence on Friday 18th July from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Saturday morning to the Church of St. Brendan, Coolock Village, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery at 1pm.
