John Callan

John Callan, Donore, Bagenalstown, and formerly of Ballinkillen, Co. Carlow, passed away peacefully, at The District Hospital, Co. Carlow, on Wednesday, 16th July 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Nora. John will be sadly missed by his loving family, partner Betty, children Peter, Michael, Marion and Caroline, brother Michael, sisters Nan, Mina and Bernadette, sons-in-law James and Pakie, daughters-in-law Shirley and Florence, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Cushen’s Funeral Home, Kilcarrig Street, Bagenalstown (R21 V127) on Thursday, 17th July, from 3pm until 8pm, with prayers at 7pm. Removal from Cushen’s Funeral Home on Friday, 18th July to arrive at St. Laserian's Church, Ballinkillen (R21 Y004) for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Goresbridge, Co. Kilkenny.
