The death has occurred of John Byrne. Liscarnan, Carrickmacross. 4th November 2025. In his 98th year. Peacefully, in the wonderful care of the management & staff of Fairlawns Nursing Home, Baileborough.

Predeceased by his parents Thomas & Mary, his brothers & sisters.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his beloved family; his wife Monica, his sons Noel, Paul (Bridie) & Tom (Louise) and his daughter Maria (Domnic), his much-loved grandchildren; JP, Shane, Oisín, Tomás, Lauren, Aoife, Ewan, Darragh, Tom, Ben & Matthew, his extended family, neighbours & friends.

John will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Wednesday, 5th November, from 4pm until 7pm.

John's funeral cortège will leave his son Noel's home, Mullaghrafferty, on Friday, 7th November, proceeding to St. Patrick's Church, Rockchapel, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.
