John Barrett

John Barrett, 80, Meadowbank Park, Letterkenny (F92 X6C3) formerly Garrygort, Rathmullan, 17th April 2025, peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his brother Dan (Glasgow). Beloved husband of Rosemarie Barrett née Bourke (Mace Middle, Claremorris, Co. Mayo), loving father of Sinéad, Treasa, Rosemarie, Saoirse, John and Joseph and Grandad to Ciarán, Donnacha, Ellie Rose, Daniel, Ethel and Ellen. Sadly missed by his loving family, son-in-law Tony, Treasa’s partner Patrick, Rosemarie’s partner Paul, Saoirse’s partner Ruben, daughter-in-law Fabi, Joseph’s partner Molly, sister Teresa Ferry (Carnamuggagh Upper) and brother Charlie (Drumacloghan), sisters-in-law Mary and Bernadette, brother-in-law Oliver, extended family and friends.

Reposing at his late residence today, Good Friday 18th April from 5pm to 8pm and Easter Saturday 19th April from 12 noon to 8pm concluding with Rosary at 8pm on both nights.

Funeral from there on Easter Sunday 20th April going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral for 2pm Funeral Mass which can be viewed live on the link www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny followed by burial in the family plot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Rathmullan.
