The death has occurred of
Joe McCabe
Joe passed peacefully in St. Francis Hospice, surrounded by his loving family after a long illness. He is sadly missed and deeply mourned by his wife Phil, son Oisín, daughter Niamh, granddaughters Afric, Isla and Mabel, daughter-in-law Emma, son in law Niall, sister Ann and all his extended family and loyal friends.
Known as a long standing and much loved member of the Clontarf community, both as a resident and business owner (McCabe Auctioneers on Vernon Ave), Joe spent many happy years fighting for his community through the Clontarf Residents Association, supporting Clontarf's Rugby team (through the highs and the lows), enjoying his passions of walking, dogs and good conversation with great people via the Clontarf Walkers, and for 40 years has been a feature of Clontarf life.
Joe will be reposing at the Fanagan Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand on Sunday (June 15th) from 3pm to 5pm, with family in attendance.
Requiem Mass at 10am on Monday (June 16th) in St. Anthony’s Church, Clontarf followed by Cremation at Glasnevin Crematorium due at 12.30pm.
Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired to St. Francis Hospice or Dogs Trust.

Afters at the much loved Clontarf Rugby Club from 1.30pm onwards.
Joe's family would like to warmly invite all to the afters to celebrate Joe, share stories, laughs and food.
