The death has occurred of

Jimmy Harper

Ferskill, Granard, Longford

Formerly of Dundalk.

Jimmy died suddenly on May 30th 2025 in the wonderful care of the staff of Mullingar Regional Hospital surrounded by his heartbroken family.

Predeceased by his parents Freddy and Mary.

Jimmy will be sadly missed by his family, his wife and best friend Julie, sons Mark and Jimmy, daughters Ann-Marie, Julie-Chell, Santanna, Selena and Holly, sons-in-law Tommy, Richie, Simie, Willie and Tony, daughters-in-law Bernie and Donna, his beloved 37 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, brothers PJ and Jerry, sisters Ann and Joan, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

A silent thought, a quiet prayer;
For a special person in God’s care.

Rest in Peace Jimmy.

 

Reposing in the family home (N39 E195) on Tuesday 3rd June from 12 o'clock until 5 o'clock. Removal to arrive to St. Mary's Church, Granard on Tuesday evening for prayers at 7 o'clock.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday 4th at 11 o'clock. Following Mass, Jimmy will be laid to rest in Newcastle Cemetery, Greenoge, Baldonnell, Co. Dublin.

Jimmy's family would like to thank all who looked after him during his short illness, Prof. Toomey and his great team, Caroline and the palliative care team, doctors, nurses and catering staff of Mullingar Regional Hospital, Dr. Niall Donohoe and his staff, Cara and all the staff of McEvoy's Medical Hall, Granard.

Your kindness and care will be forever remembered.
