Died peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters and his recently deceased sister, Mary.

Dearly loved husband of Mary, cherished father of Ian, Lorraine, Jimmy, Pauline, and Trevor, and much-loved brother of Colm.

He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his adored grandchildren Luke (and his wife Laura), Mark, Sarah, Rachel, Amy, Shaun, Kallum,Jamie, Emma Jane, Ben, and Anna, along with his daughters-in-law Geraldine (Greene) and Anne (Rankin), his son-in-law Michael (Fitzpatrick), extended family, neighbours, and friends.

May James Rest in Peace

Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Sunday 2nd November 2025 from 4pm to 6pm with rosary recital at 5.30pm. Requiem mass on Monday November 3rd at 12 pm in SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise followed by interment in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

House private.
