GERARD O’CALLAGHAN

GERARD O'CALLAGHAN (of Ballycrenane, Ballymacoda and late of Ballyspillane, Midleton) passed away peacefully on Thursday April 24th 2025 in the excellent care of the staff at St. Clare's Ward, St. Finbarr’s Hospital, Cork.

Beloved husband of Brigid and dearly loved father of Debbie, Brendan, Brian and the late Richard.

Cherished grandfather of Hugh, Claire, Ellen, Darcy, Kate, Sonny and the late James.

Kind father-in-law of Diarmuid, Una and Melissa.

Gerard will also be fondly remembered by his sister Kathleen, brother Bill, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Gerard was predeceased by his parents James and Ellen, his siblings John, Micheal and Mary and brother-in-law Micheal, Aunt Kate and 1st cousin John (Boston).

We would like to thank the staff of C.U.H., Mallow General Hospital and St Finbarr’s Hospital for their kindness and commitment in providing excellent care to Gerard in his last weeks.

Gerard was laid to rest alongside his beloved son Richard in the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery, Midleton on Saturday 26th during a private family service at his own request.
