Fred Gygax

Fred Gygax of Hillside Road, Greystones, Co. Wicklow formerly Griffith Avenue, Glasnevin, Dublin and Sugar Loaf Cake Shop, Raheny, Dublin. July 17th 2025 peacefully in his 96th year in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loved ones. Pre-deceased by his brother Frank. Remembered with love by his devoted family, wife Josephine (née McCabe) for 66 years, children Edel, Michael, Pauline, Ciara and Owen, sisters Marie, Betty and Geraldine, brother Derek, grandchildren Erin, Caoilinn, Nathan, Evelyn-Rose, Fionnuala, Fiachra, Felix and Kim, step grandchildren Lucy and Nancy, sons-in-law Tony O’Neill, Bruce English and Paul Murphy, daughter-in-law Elvie Gygax, Michael’s partner Analucia, extended family, neighbours, his amazing team of carers from Caremark, wide circle of friends including those from Royal Dublin Golf Club.

Funeral Mass on Monday afternoon July 21st 2025 at 2.30pm in Holy Rosary Church, Greystones (which can be viewed live only on the following link: https://gkpastoralarea.ie/online/) after which Fred will be laid to rest in Redford Cemetery, Blacklion, Greystones.
