The death has occurred of
Fr. Oscar O'Leary
Fr. Oscar (Tom) O’ Leary, O.F.M. Franciscan Friary, Liberty St., Cork. Died 29th June 2025 peacefully at the Mercy Hospital, Cork. Predeceased by his parents Seán & Josephine, sisters Deirdre (Kenneally), Maeve (Coughlan) and niece Gaye. Deeply regretted by his sisters Aileen (Farley) and Carmel (Lambe), nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, great grand- nieces, great grand-nephews, the Provincial and the friars of the Franciscan Province of Ireland and especially his confreres in Cork Franciscan Friary, former parishioners, the traveller community and his many great friends throughout the country.
Visitation at O’Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge on Tuesday (1st) from 3:00pm to 4:00pm with prayers at 3:45pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday (2nd) at 12:00noon at St. Francis Church, Liberty Street. Funeral afterwards to St Finbarr’s Cemetery, Glasheen.
