Fr. James (Jim) McCormack

McCormack, Fr. James (Jim), Priest of the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin (Formerly Missionaries of the Sacred Heart), Retired Parish Priest of Hacketstown Parish and late of Downings, Prosperous, Co. Kildare, July 15th 2025, peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the excellent care of the staff of Parke House Nursing Home, Kilcock, Co. Kildare. Pre-deceased by his loving parents Daniel and Marcella, siblings Anne, Jack, Tommie, Donie and Mick and sister-in-law Pattie. Deeply regretted by his sisters-in-law Mary and Mary, nieces and nephews Marcella, Mary, Neil, Anne, Danny, Jackie, Siobhán, John, Tracey, Stephen and Daniel and their partners, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family, Bishop Denis Nulty and his brother priests in the Kildare and Leighlin Diocese, former parishioners and many good friends.

Fr. Jim will arrive at St. Brigid’s Church, Hacketstown, Co. Carlow on Friday evening for 7:30pm vigil prayers. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11am, followed by burial in Killybegs Cemetery, Prosperous, Co. Kildare (arriving at approx. 2:15pm.)
