Fr Anthony (Tony) Hardiman OFM

The death has occurred of Fr Anthony (Tony) Hardiman OFM, Franciscan Friary Multyfarnham, formerly of Athlone, Cork and South Africa - October 23, 2025 - (peacefully) in the tender care of the staff at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar and previously in the excellent care of the staff at Portiuncula Nursing Home, Multyfarnham.

Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Ellen Hardiman, sister Teresa and brother-in-law Michael Kelly.

Fr Tony will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sister Mary Kelly, brothers John (Jackie) and Uinsíonn, sisters-in-law Kay Hardiman and Valerie Ní Hargadáin, his nieces and nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, his fellow Franciscans and many friends.

Reposing at The Franciscan Friary Church, Multyfarnham on Friday 24 October from 4.30 pm concluding with Evening Prayer at 6 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 25 October at 12 noon followed by burial in The Friary Cemetery, Multyfarnham.
