It is with great sadness that we share the news of Fiona’s passing, peacefully, and surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of Mayo Hospice, Castlebar on November 3rd, 2025.

 

Predeceased by her parents Bridget and Thomas Kilbane, her sister Nuala Gibbons (Moycullen), and her niece Baby Shanice Ryder.

 

Fiona will be sadly missed by her brother John Kilbane (Moycullen), sisters Ursula Kilbane (Galway), Connie Goodman (Achill), Dympna Herlihy (Loughrea), Mary Martina McGinty (Achill) and Jacinta Ryder (Achill), sister-in-law Breda, brothers-in-law Bert, Donal, Seán, Michael and Tomás, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

May Fiona’s gentle soul Rest in Peace.

 

Fiona will repose at Lavelle’s Funeral Home, Cashel South, Achill, (F28 YOH9) on Wednesday 5th November from 5pm until 7pm.

 

Private Mass and Cremation will take place in keeping with Fiona’s wishes.

 

It was Fiona’s wish that those attending her funeral wear colourful clothing.

 

House in Castlebar and Achill strictly private.
