Fintan MEYLER

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Fintan Meyler of Wexford Town (Late of Meyler’s North End Garage and Car Hire) Fintan passed away peacefully on 21st July 2025 in St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, surrounded by his devoted family, after a long illness borne with courage and bravery. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Anastasia Meyler he is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Anne, his beloved son Warren, his brother Stan and nephew Pat. He will be deeply missed by his heartbroken family, son-in-law Eoin, nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law Barbara, Merle and Adrienne, extended family, and many friends in Ireland, South Africa and beyond. Fintan will be remembered for his quick wit, love of boats and fishing, traditional Irish music and for being the life and soul of the party. The family would like to thank all those in St. Vincent’s Private Hospital who showed kindness while caring for Fintan during his illness, in particular the catering staff, whose warmth and compassion meant so much.

A Humanist Celebration of Fintan’s life will take place on Saturday (26th July) at 3.45 pm. in the Garden Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold's Cross, D6W HY98 which may be viewed on https://www.mountjerome.ie/garden-chapel-service/
