Eugene Woods

Eugene Woods (15 Emmet Street and formerly of Assumption Place, Kilkenny City) peacefully, after a long illness bravely fought, on 21st April, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Maisie, his brother Pat (Pecker) and sister Mary.

Deeply missed by his devoted and loving wife Helen (née Carpenter), son Pat and daughter Susan. Forever missed by his son-in-law David, daughter-in-law Fiona, adored grandchildren Nicole, Patrick, Casi, Nathan, Jamie, Sophie and great-granddaughter Maisie. Eugene will be remembered by his brothers Anthony, Bobby, Tommy and Franky, sisters Roseanne, Nuala and Teresa, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, loyal neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

MAY EUGENE REST IN PEACE

Eugene will repose at his residence (R95 PF68) on Thursday 24th April from 5pm to 7pm with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 6pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Friday (25th April) in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Kilkenny City at 11am followed by burial in St. Kieran’s Cemetery.
