Esther passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by her loving family in Spain.

Age 81 [10th April 1944] – [8th September 2025] (Clondalkin and late of Drimnagh and Co. Wexford)

It is with a heavy heart we announce the death of our beautiful Mammy, Esther Woodley, age 81. A charismatic, fiercely strong-willed, generous woman. Her wisdom profound, and her love unconditional. She was an unforgettable character who touched the lives of everyone she met.

Esther was the life of the party and her warmth made everyone feel welcome. She had an adventurous spirit and spent the last years of her life travelling, always eager to spend time with family and friends overseas. She loved to explore new places, particularly a good market, and embraced opportunities to meet new people. Whether crossing continents, or dancing and singing in the kitchen, Esther approached life and its challenges with grace and determination.

She was a constant source of strength and love to her family and friends. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her presence was a gift to all who knew her.

Esther will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her unwavering strength and resilience, and the love she poured into every day of her life.

Esther is survived by her childhood sweetheart, Paul, three children, Esther, Gregory, and Evelyn, her three grandchildren, Ava, Judith and Oisín, son-in-law Michael, brother Tommy, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, along with many extended family, cherished friends and neighbours.

Esther will repose at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Monastery Road, Clondalkin Village on Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am Church of the Immaculate Conception and afterwards to Glynn Barntown Cemetery, Co Wexford Y21XN92 for burial at approximately 2:30pm.
