Eileen O'Malley
(née Kinsella)

The death has occurred of Eileen O’Malley née Kinsella, Cherrington Place, Springfield, Castlebar and formerly of McHale Road, Castlebar. Eileen passed away peacefully on 19th July 2025, at the Mayo Hospice, Castlebar, surrounded by her heartbroken family.

 

Predeceased by her parents Jack and Bridie (née McNeely) Kinsella, McHale Road, Castlebar, and her brothers Jim and Tony and her sister Bridie Gibbons.

 

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Seamus, her brothers John, Paddy, Paul and Christy and her sisters Mary Hastings (Westport), Kathleen Groden (Murrisk, Westport) and Linda Loftus (Manulla, Castlebar), her nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, relatives and many friends.

 

May she rest in peace.

 

A native of McHale Road, Eileen was aged 62 years. In her youth she worked in Western Hats and later transferred to Hats of Ireland where she worked for a number of years, there she made many life long friends. Eileen was well liked and respected by all who knew her and her passing has caused much sadness in the area.

 

Eileen will repose at Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar F23 FD90, on Monday 21st July 2025 from 6.30pm to 8.00pm.

Removal from Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home on Tuesday at 10.30am to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.00am.

Afterwards, Eileen will be laid to rest in the New Cemetery, Newport Road, Castlebar.

The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on www.churchtv.ie/castlebar and it can be listened to in Castlebar on the Castlebar Parish Radio 105.3fm.
