Des Guckian

The death has occurred of Des Guckian (former Leitrim County Councillor and Retired Teacher of St. Mel's College, Longford) of Derrywillow, Annaduff, Co. Leitrim, Thursday May 22nd 2025, peacefully, at the North West Hospice Sligo.

 

Predeceased by his wife; Myra, brothers; Padraig and Seamus.

 

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his children; Irene, Paul, Emer, Deirdre and Brendan, his sister; Ita Curran, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, sisters-in-law, nine grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, work colleagues, constituents neighbours and friends.

 

May Des Rest In Peace

 

Des will lie in repose at St.Mary’s Church, Annaduff on Sunday 25th May 2025 from 3.30pm concluding with prayers at 7.00pm. There will be a 15 minute break at 5.30pm.

 

Mass of the Resurrection in St. Mary’s Church, Annaduff on Monday (26th May) at 12 noon followed by burial to the adjoining cemetery.

 

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the North West Hospice Sligo c/o McKeon’s Funeral Director’s Cloone or any family member.
