David Collopy

Formerly of Upper George's Street, Wexford and Lucan, Dublin, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, 2nd November 2025, in the care of Wexford General Hospital.

​A dedicated family man and the rock of his home, his warmth, infectious sense of humour, and love of music, culture and travel will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He faced his illness with immense courage, dignity and strength.

​Beloved husband of Eileen and devoted father of Darragh and Killian. Predeceased by his parents, William and Hillegonda.

​Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters-in-law, cherished grandson Orin, brother Liam, nieces, extended family, and a wide circle of friends.

​Reposing at the family residence, Mauritiustown, Rosslare Strand, on Wednesday, 5th November, from 3.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. House Private, please, outside of these hours. ​Removal on Thursday, 6th November, to St. Brigid’s Church, Rosslare Strand, for Funeral Mass at 12.00 midday. A private cremation will take place in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Dublin, on Friday, 7th November.
