To Trish, Jackie, Paul and all the extended O'Donovan family, I would like to offer you my deepest sympathies on the death of your beloved Mum Joan. I arrived in Ballinlough Parish, as a young priest 30 years ago and I will always remember Joan's beautiful kindness and support to me as sacristan of the local church. Joan was such a lady, so full of love, always with an encouraging word, had a beautiful smile and a great sense of humour. Whether the occasion was happy or sad or just plain ordinary, Joan was always there as a beautiful beam of light and hope. And of course there was never an occasion when the kettle wasn't on and she always had an endless supply of nibbles! She was so dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes Church as sacristan and so dedicated to her local community in Ballinlough. Most important of all she was so proud of all her family and I know you will miss her so much. Thinking of you and praying for you during this very sad time. May her gentle and beautiful soul rest in peace. Amen
