I still cannot believe it! Dermot was a dear friend and he will be sorely missed. My condolences to his family. He was one of a kind! May he be with Jesus!

I’m utterly heartbroken. Dermot was one of my oldest friends since we met in Trinity nearly 22 years ago. He lived life on his own terms, he always accepted people as he found them and had an effortless charm. He had a deep reservoir of empathy for people. I’ll miss him terribly.

I was very sorry to hear of Dermot's passing. He was a genuinely lovely guy, had time for everyone. My thoughts are with all of his family and friends.
