Claire McGRATH
(née Black)
Claire McGrath (née Black) of 46 Monacurragh, Carlow and formerly of Kilnaleck, Co Cavan, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on July 10th, 2025 in the compassionate care of the nurses and staff of Hillview Nursing Home, Carlow.
Beloved wife of the late Jim, much loved mother of Marie, Paul, Valerie, Brian and the late baby Ann, adored grandmother of Stephen, Gavin, Ian, Kevin, Casey, Jill, Rachel and Keira and cherished sister of Vincie and Barbara.
She will be sadly missed by her loving children, grandchildren, son-in-law Paul, daughters-in-law Anne and Fiona, sisters-in-law Kathleen, Margot and Norah, brother-in-law Peter, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and good neighbours.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) on Sunday (July 13th) from 4.30pm concluding with Prayers at 7.45pm that evening. Removal from there on Monday at 9.45am to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.
