Bernard (Barney) Byrne

Byrne Bernard (Barney); 16th September 2025 (late of Templeogue and Guinness); passed peacefully in his 90th year surrounded by his loving family in the kind care of the staff of Our Lady’s Hospice, Harolds Cross. Predeceased by his parents Lily and Jack and his siblings Thomas, Maura, Noel and Tony.

 

Husband of Rita (Bridie), Barney will be forever loved and sadly missed by his children Marlene, Bernard, Aiden and Garry, grandchildren Ben, Michael, Adam, Jacob, George, Roman, Natalia, Daniel, Sam, Josh and Adam, great-granddaughter Sadie, daughters-in-law Aine, Myra and Sarah, sisters Eileen, Rita and Betty, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and his wide circle of friends especially Paddy.

Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Crumlin Village on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 10am in St. Jude the Apostle Church, Willington, Templeogue, followed by Cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium at 12.30pm.
