The death has occurred of Bernadette Fitzmaurice (née Burke) and formerly Connellan, Aughamore, Hillstreet, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Roscommon on 7th April 2025, peacefully in her 89th year, in the tender care of the Inis Ree Lodge Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husbands Padraig Connellan and Peter Joe Fitzmaurice, her brothers Tom, John and Pat and her sister Mary.

Sadly missed by her sons Jimmy, Andy, Danny, Pat and Gerard, daughters-in-law Gena, Siobhán, Mary, Bríd and Claire, her fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, her brother Charlie Burke, her brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at the home of her son Andy and daughter-in-law Siobhán, Aughamore, Hillstreet (N41 DT04) on Wednesday 9th April from 4pm-8pm. Removal to Aughrim Church (N41 PV29) on Thursday 10th April for Mass of the Resurrection at 2.30pm with funeral proceeding to Aughrim Cemetery.
