The death has occurred of Bernadette (Bernie) Cleary (née Hope) – Brosna Lawns, Mullingar, Co Westmeath – April 10, 2025 (peacefully following a short illness) in the company of her loving family and in the tender care of the staff at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar.
Beloved wife of the late Joe and sister of the late Seamus, Oliver and Francis.
A dearly loved mother, grandmother and sister; Bernie will be forever loved and very sadly missed by her sons James and his wife Olivia, Derek and his partner Michelle, Shane and his partner Laura, her adored grandsons Ryan, Ethan, Conor, Joshua and Joseph, sisters Phyl, Ann and Geraldine, sisters-in-law Kathleen, Ann and Imelda, brothers-in-law Roger and Nicky, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

MAY BERNIE’S GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home, Mullingar (N91 k660) on Monday April 14th, from 5 pm with Removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6.30 pm.
Bernie’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday April 15th at 11 am followed by burial in Ballyglass Cemetery. The Mass may be viewed on the live webcam at www.mullingarparish.ie.
