Anthony (Tony) Hosey

Anthony (Tony) Hosey, (retired Garda Síochána), Eagle Hill, Hacketstown, Co. Carlow, and formerly of Clogh, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny, 27th October 2025, peacefully following an illness at Naas General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents James and Ellen, sisters Lena and Bridgie, brothers John and James, and brothers-in-law Martin, Pat and Willie. Beloved husband of Patricia (née McNamara), loving father of Caroline, Frank, Patrick, Declan, Tony and Alison, and Grandad to Dale, Daniel, Hannah, Jade, Rachel, Sam, Sarah, Ellen, Isla, Finn, Léa, Emma and Macie. Deeply regretted by his loving wife, family, sister Mary, brother Pat, sons-in-law Dave and Marc, daughters-in-law Jean, Fiona, Karen and Sam, brother-in-law Seán and his wife Mary, niece Catherine, nephew Michael, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Doyle’s Funeral Home, Killaveney, Tinahely (Y14 DA52) on Thursday evening from 5pm, concluding with prayers at 8pm. Funeral arriving to St. Brigid’s Church, Hacketstown, via Slate Row, on Friday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Hacketstown Cemetery.
