The death has occurred of
Anthony Charles Patrick O'Doherty
In loving memory of Tony O’Doherty of Falcarragh and Dungloe Donegal, Enniskerry Wicklow and Thousand Oaks / Palm Springs California, who passed peacefully on July 29th 2025 after a long illness, surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife Brenda, daughter Gillian, sons Mick, Peter, Keith; grandchildren Ella. Kern, Leo, Grace, Lucy, Indigo and Neala and his sisters Mary Burgess and Dorothy Hyde.
Tony was educated at Newbridge and worked at Star Plastics, Pel and Lisneys before moving to the USA in the late 80’s.
Thank you Dad for being a great father, husband, provider storyteller and great fun. As you liked to say, “until we meet again may God hold you in the hollow of his hand”.
A small Funeral mass will be celebrated in Maryland, his last home, on Saturday Aug 2nd 10:30 am. Plans for a celebration of Tony in Ireland will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to an Alzheimer charity would be greatly appreciated.
