Smet (née Doherty), Anne – 24th July 2025 - Donegal Town, Co. Donegal & formerly St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England. Born in Granard, Co. Longford. (Suddenly).

Beloved wife of René, much loved mother to sons Richard (Beverley), Dean, daughters Deborah, Elaine (Sean), cherished sister of Mary, Susie, Phelim and Christy. Dearly loved grandmother and great-grandmother. Predeceased by her parents Marie and Felix, her sisters Maggie and Betty, her brothers Jack, Seamus, Alan and Gerry. Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by her husband, children, step-children, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends.

Remains reposing at Tír Conaíll Funeral Home, Donegal Town on Monday July 28th from 2pm to 7pm, family only please from 2pm to 5pm. House private. Funeral leaving from Tír Conaíll Funeral Home, Donegal Town on July 29th at 10.30am. Anne’s Requiem Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town at 11am, followed by cremation at Lakelands Funeral Home and Crematorium, Cavan, at 2.30pm approximately.
